Carver Films is a partnership between award-winning producers Anna McLeish and Sarah Shaw. Carver is a Melbourne-based development and production company making independent film and television, with global reach.
Together McLeish and Shaw produced Justin Kurzel’s explosive debut feature Snowtown which premiered in competition at Critics Week, Cannes 2011; Mark Albiston and Louis Sutherland’s New Zealand-set Shopping (Sundance, Berlin 2013) and Ariel Kleiman’s Partisan starring Vincent Cassel, which premiered in World Dramatic Competition at Sundance 2015. Recent productions include AACTA-award winning TV drama Sunshine and Eddie Martin’s feature documentary Have You Seen the Listers? which is now available to stream on Netflix.
Carver is in post-production on Natalie Erika James' Relic, starring Emily Mortimer and Bella Heathcote, produced in partnership with Nine Stories’ Jake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker, and AGBO’s Anthony and Joe Russo. They will also soon be heading into pre-production on Run Rabbit Run, an original feature film written by acclaimed author Hannah Kent and to be directed by Daina Reid .
